World War II Poster 15 oz Coffee mug
Do you smell onions, geraniums or fresh musty hay? It may not be what you think. In the early days of chemical warfare, smells of specific agents were the only way to detect that an agent was used in your area. Fortunately our chemical warriors have much advanced ways of detecting agents in the field now. But we should always remember what it was like for those before us.
I spent many years training people how to protect themselves from a chemical attack. We got to go through several live nerve agent chambers over our careers and the nostalgia of the early days of the chemical corps always intrigued me. I think the first time I saw these posters was at Tech School at Fort McClellan in Alabama. I liked how they told us to identify the chemical agents by smell. We now know that if you smell these agents then you are already exposed.
Why not remember those old days with a special coffee mug. This one is my favorite. Take a look and let me make one for you today. This is a 15 oz ceramic mug that is completely dishwasher safe. I like the classic look and the subtle darkness about it. It
would be fun to go into your office drinking coffee out of a cup that talks about chemical agents. Your co-workers wouldn’t know how to take you from that point on.
